Can anyone suggest a good portable TV ariel to pick up freeview? (We have the set top box already).

We want one that we can mount on a telescopic pole and have either free standing or attatched to the tow bar of the trailer tent.

We want to spend no more than about £50ish on the airiel.

Also what about the pole? can you but these or has anyone made one them selves?

I would be most grateful for any suggestions.

Made my own satellite stand using the wrought iron stand from my patio umbrella and and the bottom half of the wooden pole you can also use a piece of plastic pipe from B &Q

...or if you dont have a wrought iron stand just use a piece of pipe , remove the jockey wheel and put the pipe in its place and tighten:)

I use a cheap one from wilko's think it cost abaout £5 works great but i have switched to Satellite now and also use a DVB-usb freeview receiver(£23.99) for my laptop for  if i feel lazy and the area has freeview there are also ones with a scart connection that fit directly into the back of the TV

I use one of these with this
pole
it give good reception and freeview works a treat, the benefit is it's very small so you don't have to cart a large aerial around in the Caravan
