Hello Dave
I've had xperience of punctures & I've been glad Tyron bands were in the tyres. Our van was new & the dealer built the price of Tyron bands into the price of every van he sold. I suspect that'll draw a few out to say they'd have refused the deal unless the bands were removed but we were pleased they were fitted. We were green to caravans & to be honest, hadn't heard about them until the salesman told us they'd be fitted & went on to explain what they were.
You say your van is coming with new tyres on, ours did too & we had our first puncture roughly half way home from a 110 miles each way trip. So, I'd say our tyre had done 160ish miles, plus manufacturer/dealer miles of course.
Our current van was new last june, we had Tyrons fitted by the dealer, £150 for the two. I think Kwik fit mobile will come to your home & fit them for a bit less but I chose to let the supplying dealer do it then the warranty is straight.
