No but I'm the same as you and can't sleep without my bookie.  Would you not have to keep yourself propped up to use one of those tho?  You couldn't snuggle down or lie on your side cos the beam wouldn't be on your book unless you kept your chin tucked down?  What about one of the little torches with the bendy snake necks that clip on to your book?  I saw one ages ago in one of those booklets that fall out of sunday supplements and soooooo regret not buying one.  Maybe someone knows where to get them?

there was a thread about this a few months back and someone recommended this.

i saw a very cute little miniature anglepoise in a shop today but i resisted an impulse buy (unlike me!) so i can't say if it was any good. I bought a wiggly arm booklight in wolkinsons but i wasn't keen. I also got one of these in a pound shop but i couldn't get it to go where i needed the light :(

the RNIB have a range of booklights including this one, it isn't cheap but, if it does what it says on the box, it could make reading in bed in a tent a more pleasant experience.

i don't use ehu so it has to be a battery lamp for me.
