We are looking to purchase some sort of flag pole or similar to hoist our Jolly Roger to when we make camp at Peterborough Truck Show the next bank holiday weekend, anyone got any ideas where we can get one ?

How about using an upright fishing rod (roach pole) although it might be abit too flexible with a large flag on it

yes Sky Blue leisure is the place to get a pole from. I bought one last year and have used it at various sites with a variety of windsocks.

I've just made my own from some dowling and plastic pipe I found in the garage, but will now invest in a Sky Blue one

PS - we also fly the Jolly Roger  Looking for someone to make one like the picture below but the big companies don't want to know

We have a skyblue whip it works well and folds up small, also have a look at the flags the pirate flag JACK RACKHAM £4 99  is like your design and you could write your names in with waterpoof ink.

I use an old fishing pole I found by the bins on a french campsite. There was some essential loop missing that made it useless as a fishing rod, but it`s a brilliant lightweight flagpole.

Oh lordy, I wish you hadn`t posted that link, Loopy! I`ve got a real weakness for daft windsocks and twirlers and my Hubby is going to go mad if I buy any more....he thinks we look enough like a circus tent as it is.

Try this found they where cheaper than skyblue and p+p was spot on too.
