From May 3rd Aldi have some camping bits if they help anyone...

The little igloo tent doesn't look bad for £24.99 to use as a pup tent or festiva tent.

Look here.....ALDI

I think for a few quid more the Gelert Quick Pitch is much better

From taking it out of its bag to putting it up it takes all of 10 seconds or less and the same to put it away, better quality too

Had a successful trip to Aldi this morning. All the specials were piled high and no shortage of anything (Waterloo Road store at Blackpool). The camping saucepans are great value - the frying pan is 20cm wide and the two saucepans, one is 18cm wide and the other ever so slightly less wide. LED headlight for £3.50 is neat and the wind-up LED torch for £4.99 works a treat! Oh, and didn't get one but the leisure mats were about double the thickness of the el cheapo ones that I've seen elsewhere so probably a good buy for the money. hth someone

I've just been to aldi and got the rucksack - quite big enuf to store all my clothes in but also more squashable than anything else for the boot space!!

Also went to netto and got two windup led torches for £3.99 each and some of the aluminium backed mats for £1.99 each (they were more expensive in aldi and altho they were thicker they didn't have the aluminium stuff on the back).

i have just bought a couple of these this afternoon.

i am putting my fingers in my ears about anything cheaper because they are in my (astra) van now and a camping mat in the van is better than...  etc etc.

although if the weather doesn't break the ground will be red hot when we go camping in a week or so and we won't need anything at all mellow smileys

and while i was in lidles i picked up some nice cheap cider roll eyes smileys
