Hi Everyone

I just want to post a review about the 'Luggable Loo', i have to say this is THE best thing i have bought for camping. Being a lady who has had a couple of children, the pelvic floor is far from strong, and trapesing up to the toiket blocks at all hours really was not my idea of fun. So i have been looking for an alternative and came across the 'Luggable Loo' on this site. It is basically a strong bucket with a loo seat fit snuggly to the top, it has a lid and everything, and although it is reccomended that you use special toilet stuff to put in it, i put a pedal bin liner, which fits perfectly, with a bit of cat little in it, it was PERFECT, and only £19.99 an absolute bargain!!!

the other thing that was great about it was that the kids could also easily use it, which helps when you are busy cooking your gourmet meal on the camping stove and then one of them says, 'i need a wee', i know there were many a time this weekend when i could have lost the plot but didnt because it was a case of 'you know where it is'.

My friends have teased me about my luggable loo, but lets face it their the ones spending thousands of pounds for a static in cornwall for 2 weeks, now i have got my loo i am more than contented.

Thinking of one of these ourselves.  Just out of interest, where do you put the bags when they are used?  Daft question I know, but I am a bloke!!

I just take them up to the rubbish with everything else in the morning, so nobody really knows what your doing (thinking about it, i hope this is environmentally healthy!!!!!!!!!!!)

Which cat litter do you use?  We tried this but it didn't absorb well & it was an expensive brand too.

I just used the tesco own brand this time and it worked really well (i think it was about 1.35 per bag it wasn t the value stuff!!!!!!!)

we have been away for 3 nights and i suppose 2 thirds of the bag has been used and i often wee in the night and the kids have used it every now and then in the day if that is of any help to you (apologies for too much information)

I just use a bucket, but I like the idea of the bin liner and cat litter.   

I also have this season persuaded my OH that we needed to get some kind of loo. We too went for the luggable loo and it is the best piece of camping equipement we've ever bought.

I did lots of research and reading and decided on this approach.... in our loo we take off the lid & seat and stretch a biodegradable pedal bin liner over the bucket, put back the lid & seat, then sprinkle in a few scoops of hanging basket crystals, oh and a squirt of zoflora for good measure. This seems to me to be a good environmentally sound method, the crystals absord the wetness (no number twos allowed!) and we tie the bag and dispose of with normal household waste.

Me and the kids use it first thing in the morning and OH if he's had extra beer and can't be bothered to go up to the toilets at 5am!

It is also useful for storage - it fits in the front box of our camplet packed with a bag of kitchen and washing up gear, dog bowls, etc.

We use a luggable Loo with Wag bags.  Great!

I agree WBs are a bit pricey but at least I know they are fully biodegrable and no smell.

As I have said many times, revolutionised our camping.

This Lynm here just notice came out as the Admiral, she's been on my computer and logged in as me last weekend....Ha! caught you.

I also can't recommend this product highly enough. Very sturdy and unbelievably quiet when you use it (if you know what i mean).

Well worth the £19.99 price tag !
