Copied and pasted the following from a previous post I made
There are probably several methods that have been adopted by others on here but the one I used was to cut to shape a 1" marine ply board to fit in the box to strengthen the base a bit, then there were already two 8mm holes pre-drilled in the A frame, so I carefully aligned the box centrally and not too far forward and marked from underneath through the holes with a felt pen.
Took box off and drilled these two holes, box back on A frame and loosely bolted it together, making sure everything looked square and aligned. Then measured forward and drilled two more holes in A frame, need to make sure that you drill centrally through A frame and into box.
Another alternative, if you dont fancy drilling the A frame is to get some narrowish U bolts, the type that are used for exhaust pipes should do. You will probably need 4 of these, then aligned box and drill through box either side of A frame then insert U bolt from underneath, you will probably have to get some largish washers to spread the load a bit, or better still use a short length of steel bar to go between the two legs of the U bolt (hope this all makes sence)
I would also use nyloc nuts just to make sure they stay tight
I can take picks if you wish but will have to wait till weekend, but let me know if you do
There is someone on here who has done a similar job but they have made theirs so that it can easily be removed and used in the TT whilst camping, tho I keep mine fix to the front all the time.
Just be careful about your turning circle of the car so that you dont hit it when taking tight corners and don't make it too heavy that will cause the nose weight to exceed the recommended for your car ( bit of a balancing act required when packing)
Hope this helps
