We got a collapsible one too. Get the thermals. You can always take off a layer if you too hot but is horrible if you cold. I'm not used to the mummy type sleeping bag yet!! An airbed is better than a roll mat too.

Good luck, hope weather holds for you.  ENJOY WHATEVER!!!

Our Luggable loo has been a godsend. Originally purchased for our children who have never used it, just mummy and daddy!

We put zalflora and water in the bottom of the loo and with a ' wee only ' rule it is easy to empty where chemical loos are emptied! Deal is I put the zalflora in and hubby empties it in the morning!

Enjoy your trip!

ALEX

Hi Boyz & welcome to the most addictive forum on the www

I definitely second the fact that this forum is addictive. I am away camping shortly and am already getting withdrawel symptoms!

Hi Beezers and JK98.  Can see how this is addictive and if my two sons were older than 4 and 9 I could easily be on here all evening!!

My 9yr old is going to his 1st cub camp at Drum Hill this Fri for 3 nights. I'm helping set tents etc up Thurs - so at least the cubs wont have to do that!!  Wish I was going instead of him coz the activities sound brilliant.

I still gotta find somewhere for my camping bits to live!! Various items dotted about the house!!  Oh well, I'll get there.

Hi, we thought of another nightime loo solution if you are very short on space in the car. Our toddler is starting to potty train and we bought him a fold up potty with disposible bags from mothercare. It was about £7 for the potty and £3 for ten bags. Each bag has an absorbant pad in the base and the bags just tie up ready to be thrown away after each use. It may be more appropriate for the children but is very compact!
