you've got it exactly right fairymoon and bags or quilts it's up to you when we had a trailer tent we used quilts because we had the room for them when we camp in a tent we use bags because they take up less room

Are you looking at the big double high rise airbeds?  Does your tent have enough space for you to be able to use one comfortably?  If yes then why not and as muchyounger says it is entirely upto you - I love my quilt but my sleeping bag opens like a quilt so dont have to worry about space - I cant sleep in Mummy type sleeping bags as I feel trapped and end up fighting most of the night in it!

Good Luck!

Hi FairyMoon

If you want the dogs wotsits of airbeds go for the Coleman Comfort - they are the biz. About £26.00 for a double and £15.00 for a single and cos they are double sealed they don't go down. Bought a double last year and you can pump each side up separately so will suit either individual. Now I have to buy two singles for the kids

Regards

ColinB

fairy .. maybe he would be better off with a camp bed and then a foam mat on top ?    We use a high rise but they don't fit in all sleeping compartments and there is still some give at the edge of the bed..
