Can anyone advise me on the essential items that i need to take for my first camping trip - i've got the tent and sleeping bags!

Cool box, ice packs and liquid refreshment. Which part of north west? If you can make North Wales then you must go to Riverside Camping in Caernarfon.  It's a real treasure - near Snowdonia, cafe and garden centre on site, safe playground and a river flowing by. Just don't tell everyone! enjoy!
