I have 98 Khyam Ridgidome xl which is in fair condition. The plastic disc (I am informed they are called spiders?) at the top of the dome has had it's day unfortunately, and Khyam have just released the last of their spiders and have no more.
My only chance is finding one is at a tent repairer / dealer. Does anyone know of a good tent dealer that is also likely to carry spare parts such as this?
I had a spider in my pillow when I returned from last camping trip. Now had it been there all night while I was sleeping on it - YUK??????? or did it jump in when I dumped it on the hall floor after we arrived home.
good luck with finding your spider. My local shop doesn't sell khyam any more but they had some spare joints (don't know about spiders) when i was there so it is well worth ringing around.
Thanks for the replies. I think I am on to a loser on this one. I could have a new skeleton for £100 but don't think it is worth it. My tent is currently in Outdooraction in Blackburn ( whose service is excellent by the way) Their repairer (Mark) has done what he can and reckons it will see a few more trips if I'm carefull. I will repost this on "under canvas" section in case anyone reads that board but not this.
Kayham don't have any, which is understandable after 8 years.
Will probably get a new one in due course, but hopefully this one will get me through Glastonbury!
Have you tried the one at Manchester name escapes me now, something "land" I think, but as said earlier if you can post a pic of your old one it might just help to jog peoples memories into thinking "I'm sure Ive got one of those at the back of my shed hahaha".
I was also told Glastonbury ISN'T on this year, something to do with not being able to get the bands to come, and some other crowd control problems, and facilities.

It wasn't on last year - but this year it's defnitely going ahead (unless you know something I don't of course).
