going to France in july and i'm looking at trailers

I've found an erde 153 for £400 and it seems a good deal...

...shame the lid is half the price again!!

must i have 13" wheels or is 10" okay?

and what about a hard ABS lockable top.. is this a must (we are stopping overnight in a hotel on route)

your thoughts please

I do not think the wheels are essential but the lid is.

Hi jonellis, 10" wheels should be ok, its the 8" wheels that have a spped rating of 62mph. If you can get the ABS lid go for it, not only does it increase the capacity of the trailer by 50% but also provides extra security by being able to lock the trailer by the means of padlocks. Price sounds about right for a ABS roof for this trailer.

I have the Erde 122, so am I right in thinking that I could change the wheels from the 8" that came with it, to 10" (or even 13")      

Always worry about them being a tad on the small side, when on long trips, although I do not go over 60mph whilst towing,

I am collecting a new trailer this weekend, its from a place in Hull called Towone Trailer - 01482 225645. I believe that they have other branches, but I don;t know where.

They sell the Brenderup 1150S with an ABS hardtop for £640.

The Benefit of the Brenderup is that it has full size 13" wheels.
