Just returned from first outing with my Spacelite - encountered severe wind and rain - it stood up to it well. One querie though, there is a yellow rope inside between the awning rail and the front. No one seems to know what it is for - anyone any suggestions.

I think it is to keep the roof taut at its highest point, and help prevent the roof from bagging and collecting rain

I thought about keeping the roof taught, but at its fullest shortening it still needs a knot in it to prevent you hanging yourself

I too have it on my Spacelite and I am not sure what it is for.

Perhaps it is used when rolling it up to assist in some way, although I do not keep mine on the van and always roll it up on the floor, so not yet tried that.
