Just bought a purpleline inspection light from outdoor world, its got a piece of something in the actual light that explains the wattage etc, but we can't get it out! Any ideas!!! We have tried twisting the caps, but no joy. There are no instructions etc, help!! Off camping tomorrow!!
I bought the same thing from Halfords. I had the same problem with the instructions. I gave up trying to remove them and assumed they were meant to stay there. I hope thats correct.

Are these inpection/strip lights expensive - I never thought about getting one but if they are cheap and can go on EHU - it might be worth me getting one - thanks in advance

We bought 2 from Aldi a while ago at £4.99 each, IP rated with 5mtr flex. Ours had a silver reflector in the tube which we took out. If the ones you have are IP rated it means they resist water getting in so the top needs some effort to get it off. They do come off so you can change the bulb.

We must be experts - we are out standing in our chosen fields!
Plugged it in last night to test it and it won't come on, unless you hold it at a certain angle and then don't move, so that'll be interesting tonight in the tent!!
I really don't think we're going to be able to get it open, so its going to be sent back and Scott is going to do a quick flit to Screwfix this morning as we found exactly the same light in there for £5.99!!!
