Airics are a good value option, our kids are on the basic ones, and they're pretty comfortable even for an adult. A bit slippery with synthetic sleeping bags is the only issue, but that's probably an issue with most mats: I made sort of pillowcase covers for them. We also have the fabulous thermarests with the fleecy tops, which are ace if you're tall and want to camp with the equivalent of a proper double bed. We use those as last resort spare beds at home too, to justify their (considerable) price!
