Does anyone know if the prices of the double skillets that have been advertised on here, have come down yet? I think they were about £40 plus p&p

Or if anyone else has started making something similar?

Or if anyone else has started making something similar? sorry to say the answer might be yes-- some other cheap  Chinese copy   merchant.The girls that sell the Double Skillets have been doing it at the shows / CARAVAN RALLIES and demonstrating  them  for as long as I can remember and always have  a wonderfull  following----- you don't keep going by selling crap you only make a make a profit in the end by giving  good old fashioned sevice and VALUE FOR MONEY and looking after your old customers as well as the new ones.omf

I would really suggest that that are a really good deal and they have been going a long time.  You can save a little if you buy at a show because then there is no postage.  I think anything cheaper would have to compromise on quality I simply would not bother.

What's a double skillet  if I was writing home, and is it of any use to humble TT canvas sojourners?

Good to hear a patriotic speak for the home industries, we didn't get here today by letting the fuzzy-wuzzies price our boys out of the market with cheap imitations. Jolly good show chaps.

In actual fact, although the double skillet is expensive, because it is so versitile, you do not need a whole lot of extra pots and pans. We have the D/Skillet and one pint pot.

If you look at our van in our gallery, you will see that we do not have masses of room for all things including the kitchen sink and therefore we carry the minimum of everything, including pots & pans. The D/Skillet cooking system was made just for us!!!! <G>.
