I'm guessing this must have been asked thousands of times in the past, and probaly will do in the future too but hey - we need some new chairs, getting a bit fed up with lugging those big chairs we have at moment, the sort that fold up into a bag.
what we need is lightweight and a high back, some form of recline option would be nice too.
any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Hello Lee and Helen ...
Go Lafuma, not the cheapest but very comfortable and with a reclining option. Nearly all camping shops keep them and nearly all campers use them. [Well, at least lots of peeps use them].
I agree with workerbee. We had the same problem...our fold up chairs were comfortable but very bulky taking up lots of space in our trailer tent. We bought four Lafuma high backed chairs from Oxford School of Reflexology website for £50 for 2! (BARGAIN! ) Not sure if this offer is still on, but worth looking. The chairs are soooo comfortable and fold flat enough to put on top of the trailer giving us pleanty of spare room inside (which will get filled up with all those 'really useful things you always want to take but had no room for' soon enough I sure!
thanks very much for your replies, will certainly have to look for these lafuma chairs - you must have got a real bargain Fred+Wilma as looking at that link, all i can see reclining wise, is £99 each and upwards! well unless i am looking in the wrong place that is.
we hope to be going to our 'local' camping shop at the weekend for a browse, so will keep an eye out there.

Lee & Helen, They are under the 'garden furniture sale' part, but seem to have gone up to £65 for 2. Not sure this is such a bargain now, but sure they are still on the cheaper side for these chairs. When we were looking, Towsure were the next cheapest so might be worth having a look there, but bear in mind that towsure charge for delivery.
thanks for that Fred+Wilma, i knew i had to be looking in the wrong place now we have a bit more of an idea of what to look for, we shall be keeping our eyes open when out and about.

Can you get carrying bags for the lafuma high back chairs (not the recliner). We are looking for light, comfortable and easy to carry chairs for the beach but not the brolley type ones that kill your back
The La Fuma recliners are fabulous - I had one when I did reflexology and you can sleep in them! The only down side, to my thinking, for camping is that you can't recline the back without the legs going up as well, which isn't always what you want.
We've been looking at high back chairs with detachable leg rests but most of the chairs have shaped head rests and I haven't been able to find any with the head rests in the right place for me, they're all too high. We found some with straight backs and moveable head rests in Towsure for £27-odd. Unfortunately we've had to order by post so hope they're OK.
Been to try the Nettos ones - unfortunatly they don't go upright enough to be comfortable for eating your dinner. keeping an eye on that deal at amazing outdoors, but would prefer to try before we buy.
ho hum camping shop at weekend here we come

We got ours from Aldi when they had them in - did see some in again recently. About £30 each and aluminium so won't rust also high back and will recline. We thought these were a bargain.
