I've searched the boards but can't find an answer to this question and wonder if someone could help me out.

I'm wanting to buy a cheap hairdryer to take with me when we go camping (the one I have at home is probably too powerful and too big).  I've seen a hairdryer in Tesco for £3.75 but it's 1200W - does anyone know if that will work okay without tripping the electric (obviously I'd use it on it's own).

You need to establish how many watts your EHU supplies.

On many sites it is 16 amp, others are 10 amp.  Abroad 6 amp or less is common.

1200w on its own in UK is probably OK.

Watts = Volts x Amps   From this you can work out what your appliances will use.

If you stick to one "Heating" appliance at a time, you should be OK.
