The Eurohike ones they sell in Millets are fairly good, I had one and it lasted a few years before the dynamo gave out, in that you could do the fullwind and it rand down in aobut 30 seconds. I still got a second one (the bright pink one so I can spot itin the garden and don't leave it out). And it has batteries too, so you have a backup when you just can't bo bothered.
I was briefly tempted by the much more espensive but also solar Freeplay ones, not least because last I heard they give units out in Africa for where theyre is no electricity. But they are much more expensive (I got my Eurohike one for atenner, not the £15 they have them at online) and while I did love my Freeplay torch the winder handle got broken on that after a few years: doesn't matter how well built they are, they still don't like being dropped!
