After reading rave reviews on here - went and bought one from Lakeland this morning. Can't wait to use it (how sad!). Can you use them on a Bistro cooker with a windshield? Also, while I'm here, is it possible to use these single burner cookers in the case (with lid up of course!)

Cheers

I've had one for about 4 years now and have used it so much I've just bought another one.  You can use them at home as well and I've never had fat drip onto the stove.  Oswald Bailey have them for £7 at the moment.

Are your griddles non stick or enamel coated? Just seen one on ebay that is enamel and wondered if it was any good?

It is in 2 parts.

the outer ring and 'moat' is enamel and the inner hub.. the bit with the slots.. is non stick.  Not very tough non stick but non stick none the less. :)

i see the ebay one had a detachable handle.

 I bought mine from lakeland.

Hi

Anyone used one of these on a Sunncamp Camping chef stove?  I think it would fit but would like to know before I buy.

Thanks

Clare

Don't want to be a killjoy but would offer a word of caution :-

I wouldn't use anything on those 'canister' type cookers that actually overhangs where the canister is sited  -  a few years ago my neighbour had borrowed mine and placed a throwaway type bbq on it to finish cooking chicken (she hadn't got a pan!)  - she bought me back the remains of my cooker in a cardboard box!! Very, Very lucky no-one was seriously injured.

Regards

eeek!

the hubcap thingy is made brightspark specially for their suitcase cookers.

it slots onto the pan support. Most gas cookers have similar supports so it will fit others too.

i saw another brand today.. for a tenner in a 'leisure superstore'.

It was by sunncamp or similar name and it was a much more lightweight item than the brightspark one from lakeland and it didn't have the slots to keep it (and my lovely bacon rashers) safely in place.

so they aren't all the same.

We purchased the Sunncamp one from GoOutdoors a month or so ago. due to the weather only got to use it this weekend. Within 60 secs of turning the gas on, My Sausages were burning, the "PAINT started to peel off the centre disc and fat from the sausgages bust into flames, a scary moment realy.

I may splash out and get the Lakeland one if it's better.
