Morning all,

I've decided this year when I go camping that I will invest in an eye mask and ear plugs cos as soon as the sun rises i'm up or the birds wake me.

If anyone is interested I found Superdrug do their own eye mask with free ear plugs for the price of £2.49!

Also you get free stickers to put on the eye mask that say "do not disturb" or my favourite "please wake up for meals" preferably BREAKFAST

What makes me laugh is I asked the manager if they sold eye masks and he said 'NO', took great pleasure in showing him where they were LOL!

I stayed on a secluded site once - it was so calm & peacefull when we arrived, then at night we had foxs yelping, owls tooting n hooting, hedgehogs grunting & other wildlife doing god knows what & then some cockarels started up at 3am. I reckon I would have slept better on the central reservation of the A1.

Hi

These sound great to aid sleep - will take a trip to Superdrug myself - but I have never slept with an eye mask - this is really silly -  but do you wake up all confused with the thing on your eyes or do you kind of remember what it is ???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to work nights so have done the earplug thing before.

The best style earplugs are similiar to the swimming ones, like little fern trees, they stay in a lot better than the foam type http://www.allearplugs.com/?gclid=CL3X3oLC_IwCFRAFEgod4zzRDQ

I use those swimming silicone mouldable, (did I just make that word up?), earplugs the same that I use, funnily enough.....for swimmingI find 'em nice and soft and they don't have to be shoved right inside your ear, just sort of mould to the inner shell bit.

But before we went off to Mauritius I treated meself to some wicked eye shade thingies! I know ya get 'em supplied on long haul flights and indeed have a fair few of the bog standard navy or black ones from trips hubby's done BUT......these ones I've got actually have a sort of space under 'em so your eyelashes don't get squashed. They've got a sort of dome space doo dah, so handy for me not wanting me mascarad lashes to be stuck down on me cheeks or eyelids when I took 'em off on the plane.

I did wanna personalize 'em even more before we flew off but didn't get time which is a shame really coz I think my idea of glueing a row of crystals on 'em to look like eyebrows was quite a nice idea! Hubby weren't quite so keen on me idea though and his chin dropped to the floor when he saw the shades anyhoo......What's wrong with leopard print furry eye shades? That's what I wanna know??????

340

And that's NOT me btw.......no freckles on her!

I still fully intend to apply me crystal 'eyebrows' before their next outing......on our overnight trip down to Cornwall in August And I don't care what me hubby says!!!!

Oh and I nearly forgot.....I also collected the freeby ones given to us on our way to and from Mauritius so now also have a green, yellow and red pair plus the socks that go with 'em
