Has anyone come across a good quality charcoal bar-b-q; one that is collapsible, i.e. the legs can be removed for storage in caravan locker? not too big - for 3/4 people.
We have the Weber go anywhere, the legs fold up to lock the lid on. We find it fantastic, if you take the rack out of the inside you can invert the lid into the BBQ for storage to make it a bit smaller. We have cooked for groups of six on it with no problem, it's bigger than it looks.
It's probably the best portable BBQ we've used and it looks to be pretty long lasting.
You might want to search for suppliers and price that was just the first listing I found for it.
B & Q have a good one, the top has a lid and the sides and grill come apart and go into this, the legs are like an ironing board so it all folds down to around 3-4' long x 12" wide by 3" deep.
I have one of these BBQs. However be careful when you use it. The instructions state do NOT use on a flammable surface but show it being used on a wooden patio table! I used the easy lighting charcoal, without anything underneath and it scorched the grass badly. I used one of those long burning logs after though with no problems.
Great compact folding BBQ, easy to clean and thow in the car but it needs something underneath

Yup we've got two of these and can easily cook for ten people...one of these would work well for 4/5 no probs.
The Weber and the compact portables previously mentioned are probably very good BBQ's (we use a Weber at home and it's excellent) but the B&Q portable at about £14.95 is a decent height and can be used as a small heat proof table when the lid is closed.
