Hi,

Not had a close look, but seem like a big picnic blanket to me, i would hope the backing is made of something decent as there not that cheap.

We were given a breathable Groundsheet, which yes we use on it own when its completely dry but it makes an excellent carpet ontop of our PVC groundsheet. Its very warm and slightly padded to walk on. Its also adds to the insulation.

I dont know the cost of tent carpet and breathable Groundsheets are expensive but thought I would mention it as an alternative, perhaps someone on here in the know could compare prices.

We got the carpet for our XXL as we can use it in the Monty as well. We love it and it certainly seems to keep the tent warmer and cosier. It also puts paid to the camping mats slipping round and needing constantly being put back in place.

I have an Outwell carpet in my Cabanon tent, it feels nice under foot and helps protect the expensive zig.

I also have a large mat, the rubber backed dirt control type you see in shop entrances, its 1.5m x 1m and I use that just inside the doorway of the tent and have a couple of the rubber hole mats for outside the tent.
