Can anyone help answer this question - I have a two ring cooker and a fridge running for the one calor gas bottle, pipes split by a 'T' Piece. Is there such a thing as a quick release connection to disconnect the cooker and move it after use ? Any help would be great.
Two bottles would be the easier option. There are a number of quick release systems available for compressed air, which would do the job unofficially. They are not designed for gas though and the manufacturers would not accept responsibility for the consequences of them leaking. Nor will I. I would look for either a proprietory gas pipe quick release (which to the best of my knowledge does not exist) or find an alternative. Have you considered a tap and hose tails to connect it?
Pennine folding campers have a quick release gas connection for the hob. Also how about a caravan gas barbecue connection point. Still doesn't help on where to get one from but they do exist.
A few weeks ago BES were out of stock, if they are back please let us know. If not there are always 2 or 3 sellers on ebay (a bit dearer but cheaper post as BES charge a fiver even if you only want 1).
To answer my own question I rang them today - they have 100 of these in stocks. I got two of them, 3m of LP hose, a t-piece and 15 hose clamps (these soon mount up when you think that every break in the hose requires 2/3 clamps) plus delivery, for £24.60. With the parts I have already this should be everything I need to run the cooker, underfloor heater, fridge and bbq (at the end of the 3m hose so it's outside our awning) from one regulator and 15kg cylinder, all independently of each other.
