What is the quickest way to do this please?

Are these pumps that work off the cigarette lighter outlet in the car ok or would I be better with a battery one?

How much should I expect to pay?

I have a Cig lighter Air Pump which i must say is Fantastic and it was purchased from Tesco for about £8. And if it gets wet in the rain its only plastic its waterproof. They soon dry out!!!!

Got a £7-8 car lighter 12v one myself.  All camping shops etc sell them. Does my double airbed mattress in about 1 min.

We bought a re-chargeable pump from the Early Learning Centre. It inflates a single airbed in about 20 seconds and when we let them down we use it to suck the remaining air out to get them flat.

One charge has inflated 10 airbeds so far and still going strong.

Got a battery operated charger from Woolies as reduced in price, also works off elec and cig lighter. Tried it out last weekend, works well takes about 5 mins to inflate a double airbed with battery.

Would be interested to try the cig lighter attachment and see how that works.

My preferred method of inflating an airbed is to use a large footpump and a small child - about 9-10 years is perfect.   Just leave child to pump up the beds, no incentive needed, to be able to lie on an airbed in a sleeping bag seems incentive enough!   works every time LOL

Only fuel required is a bar of chocolate or small bag of sweets

Aderynglas, that made me laugh, pity we dont have a small child that age! We will have to wait 7-8 years for out little one to grow up as if we used him now SS would probably take him away!

Our 13 daughter wouldnt be seen dead pumping up an air bed, the moans and groans just wouldnt be worth it. The only incentive for her would be money to spend on clothes or a holiday abroad!

Used the battery pump bought in woolies and found it did the job fine. Our little's one's teeth have stayed intact too!
