We've got one already, but it's not the best and can seem to cope when the pressure of a nearly full airbed appears higher than the pressure it's supplying. Plus it's noisy, rattles like buggery and feels as though it's about to come apart in your hand at any minute.
There's this on eBay which looks quite good, but I'm no expert. Argos used to sell an automatic one which you could set the target psi range on, but no more.
Anyone have any recommendations?
We need to blow up 2 single airbeds - and keep them topped up - and a double airbed. And occasionally, the odd inflatable ring, water airbed & small boat.
Yes, yes...I know...it's pure laziness not to buy a footpump, but I'm after convenience.
forget compressors for airbeds, you want one of those hairdryer type inflators - they can pump an airbed up in less than a minute & don't make an awfull racket.
We've got that argos one and it is excellent. Had it for about four years now and never has a problem with it and it will happily blow up our double airbed in around a minute.
I wondered about the small 12v compressor types as they would also then do the car & trailer tyres if need be and the bicycle tyres too - though not mine, wrong valve types
Just purchased a rechargable one from Littlewoods sale, down to £12, then I got hold of a 40% off voucher, which I got off here. Cost me about £7. Charge it up at home, then just take it with you. get about 30minutes use, and it took me about a minute to blow up a double. Click here

Its like jogging on the inside!!!
We have the Argos one as well, brilliant little gadget, little tip, blow up the majority of the airbed through the big hole and then just top up through the small one, much quicker
Used to use one of the cheapo 12v inflators but found it never got the airbed to how I liked it.
Keep a tyre inflator in the boot of the car anyway so could not understand why I never thought of using that until my last trip a few weeks ago. The one I have is an all in one jobbie with masses of adaptors and also a torch built in.
