My husband and I are new to camping together and are on the lookout for sleeping bag/s. Ideally the bag will be three season so that we can camp Spring/Summer/Autumn. A 'like to have' is that the bag will be 2-singles/double. We are looking not to spend too much money in case the camping thing doesn't take off as we would like.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I notice Millets have a half price sale on some of their bags at the moment?
Try the Sunncamp Wildfire 350's (HERE) , amazing price (£16.99) for such a warm sleeping bag, tried them out last weekend in the Lakes and I was too warm...... which is a first for me as I'm a soft git

The sunncamp ones don't say - they would normally say available in left and right hand zips (you need one left and one right to be able to zip together) It might be worth checking on the sunncamps as it may just be that the website doesn't say.
The Argos one is one sleeping bag so it won't separate.
Don't forget that you can get sleeping bag liners in cotton, silk, etc. As well as helping to keep the bag clean on the inside (it's simpler to wash the liner) they also mean the bag can be used in conditions perhaps 5C colder.
I ordered four Coleman Hudson 300 Sleeping bags at £14.99 each and they came as two left and two right hand ones. I think if you ordered two, you would get one of each. They look very good quality and quite spacious - if you don't like to be a mummy!
I found the link by doing a search. I can't put a link on here unfortunately.
They do unzip to fold out to become a duvet, though I don't know if they would zip together, but I don't see why not (I can't try at the moment as they are packed away). I think that is a good price for the quality and will certainly get you started.
some bags zip together rather strangely ,our 2 season ones zip together with the zips on the sides but our gelert 3 season ones have the zips in the middle which isnt the best place for creeping out to the loo without waking the mrs.
we also had to get the 110cm versions the standard ones are a little too snug for my liking!

Sorry to be a complete no-brainer but:
1) Does the Sunncamp one zip into a double when you put two together?
2) Does the Argos one seperate into two singles?
Many thanks!
The sunncamp wildfire's do come in either a left or right hand zip as we have one of each BUT I've not tried zipping them together as the missus won't let me sleep with her when we're camping

You can make cotton liners yourself really easily (well if I can anyone can!). We also have fleece liners and these are fab - I haven't camped without one this year even with my 3 season bag!
after a lot of research we picked the sunncamp 350's. they are fine and we have a left and a right hand one.
OH really feels the cold so needs to be protected from draughts.
Only problem is that I find them slippery and if i were to choose again I would go for cotton outside as well. don't like the synthetic feel of outside. Inside lovely.
Think we'll go for the Sunncamp 350's then. I am used to synthetic outers as the only sleeping bag I am used to is an ex-army one (a hand me down from my Dad!).

I was wondering about the left and right zipper idea but I got these Gelert ones from Gooutdoors with a left and right zip, but they dont zip together, so not all will do it.
