just came back from 12 days camping, and thought i would let you all know how we went on with the new cool box we purchased from uk campsite,It stated that it would last up to 14 days without putting extra ice in it .And i can honestly say it actually works ,it is still in the garden now with the cans in we brought back and they are still very very cold,All i can say is that as long as you follow instructions correctly and pre cool the box 2 days before you go on your trip you cannot go wrong. We have been camping for many years without hook up and have been looking for the right cool box ,and we have definatly found it in the ICEY TEK.So now to those cans in the box TIME FOR A CIDER I THINK
Thanks for the feedback on Icey Tek. Not sure I am ready to invest yet butv. good to know. Is this performance despite opening several times a day etc?
Quote: .We always modify our cool boxes. foam beads in the lids etc.
That sounds interesting, Carole. not thought about modifying before. Does that really make a difference? What else do you do? Why not the sides as well?
yes it worked just like a fridge on a day to day basis, hubby and me still cant quite believe it worked as well as they stated. Its unusual that something works that well.especially regarding camping equipment
hi Gavona.couple of years ago i bought a plug in lighter cool box from kwick save. but it wasnt big enough. so earlier on this year we went and got one fron Asda £8.they have the pop out snap clips .so we took it apart .got some sheets of polystyrene and cut them to fit using the flimsy stuff already as a template.we then filled the lid with bean bag beads.
