I have seen these chillerz sheets from Lakeland and they are supposed to stay colder 6-8 times longer than normal ice. Wondered if they would be good for the cool box and how long they might stay frozen for? Would like to know they work before forking out on yet another camping gadget that I obviously cannot manage without!
We had them and they were absolutely rubbish!! Sorry!! Not what you wanted to hear! I read a thread on here though and it seems to be the consensus of opinion..they seemed to make everything slimy as well - no idea why??
themummy is right - they are a total waste of your money. I tried them a couple of years ago, didn't stay frozen as long as normal ice packs and they absorb any moisture so if you have a leaky pack of meat in the coolbox ready for your barbie then you can't re-use the sheet at the bottom of the box.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
Have just started my scientific experiment with the heavy duty techni-ice that I got from Australia. Says its the latest model so will be interesting to see if it is any better.
Have puffed it up and put it in the freezer along with some standard ice packs. Will report back in a few days!
