hi, anyone use these when camping? we usually have a halogen heater but looking for something we can use overnight without the light.

We used one when we went away in March, left it on all night, and it definately kept the chill off

thanks for that, is there as good a heat from them as the halogens, also are they fairly stable, OH worried about using something that doesnt cut out if it falls over.

we have one of these and never had a problem with it falling over. we use ours in awning in the late afternoon and it lets us sit out in awning so kids can sleep in van then move it into van to stop temp droping to much during the night

We have used one of these for the last 2 years and it has been great and being a dry heat it does not cause condensation problems !!

I thought about an oil heater till I felt the weight of them  Then I bought a skirting heater from Argos. It's lovely & we felt quite safe leaving it on all night in the bedroom pod. It's very lightweight. It sits close to the ground, so you don't have a cold spot near the floor.

We had a small one but, as Jean says, they are heavy, so we now use a convector heater which weighs next to nothing and is just as effective - and I think you'll find most of them do cut out if they're kocked over.

I had one of these in my motorhome which was fine but I found it just wasn't much use in a folding camper.

A convector heater is just as safe and keeps you much warmer, plus it doesn't weigh a ton.

We use a convector heater too, it does the job in our awning a treat.

We use a radiator in van. We normally transport it in the car. Gives off lots of heat so it's very good as we winter caravan.
