Due to the good reviews on here I bought a Regular Airic as I go to biker rallies on a regular basis

I`ve used roll mats for years but decided they weren`t comfortable enough (think I`m getting old ! )

I previously bought an inflatable mat from Aldi`s but thought it was very poor as the air kept going from the top to the bottom & vice versa & I felt like I was on a roller coaster !!!

The Airic is a lot better however...

people that have them - do you have to put some more air in them every day ?

I used mine for the first time on Friday night & it had deflated a little by Saturday morning

I blew it up & it had gone down a little by Saturdary evening so I put a bit more in & by Sunday morning it had gone down a little. Not by huge amount but is this normal ?

I`m about 16 stone by the way

cheers

I find I normally have to top up my fat airic a couple of times during a weeks camping - the others use Aldi mats and again I open the vents on them during the week to allow them to re-inflate.

I do give the 'Airic' a lung full of air or two after I've opened the valve and left it for ten minutes or so, only because I prefer it on the firm side. But, I've never found it necessary to 'top it up' after that. I only weigh 9 stone soaking wet, so there isn't a lot of pressure on it!... They do give you a nice comfortable sleep, on top of 'X' leg camp beds...

**update***

I used it a few times & decided that I wasn`t happy so e mailed ALPKIT

what TOP service they give.

they e mailed me a freepost address so I didn`t have to pay for carriage & sent me a new mat which I`ve used & it doesn`t go down one jot. I must have had a faulty one

IMO they are FAR superior to any roll mat or air bed

HIGHLY recomended product

Had fantastic service myself from them. I did start a topic saying such.  But I forgot to open valves and could not work out why it was not inflating!

you cant fault the company - FANTASTIC serivice or the mats

I'm glad you got it sorted as the deflating didn't sound right.

Aren't the quality self inflatings fab?  I've got a thermarest basecamp and I adore it. Over the years I've tried nearly everything including the coleman comforts and nothing comes even close for comfort and warmth.

I'm seeing more and more self inflaters at biker rallies along with the familiar blue and yellow of Kyham QE tents.
