Hello everyone, some advice please.
We're off camping for the first time with our 3 small children. We need to get some lights.
Gas isn't an option, but which would be the better option between wind up or battery?
What are the outputs like? Which are brighter? How many will I need?
Thanks

Battery is less hassle as long as you have a supply of batteries - Wind up are ok if you get LED ones (last longer between winds)

Outputs vary from different makes / models

Quantity - depends what your outfit is (not on your profile) maybe one , maybe six.

Best bet to have a look online and at local camping type shops to get a feel for the different products.

LED ones are great , and the batterys last along while.

Maplin sell little LED camping lanterns at about £5 each, they have a single LED and use two button cells , My kids love them, ( batteries last about 24 hours each , and cost about 95p from screwfix ( 2 required) or about £2 each from maplin !! )

Make sure you have a hand held torch with at least three LEDs

and perhaps a UFO style lamp.
