I bought one of these last year after all the rave reviews but struggle to use it. Am I doing something wrong ? Its not high enough to cook under and I've used it as a sun shelter on my Monty6 but I wouldn't trust it to stand up in serious weather. Has anyone else tried cooking under one? Any photos?
Have you thought about using the poles slightly differently? You could make one pole a lot taller than the other so the tarp in the classic ridge tent configuration would have quite a steep slope to it giving you the head height at one end for standing under and cooking, and then using the rear end which has less head height for storage. If you faced the low end into the wind it would also give you shelter from the wind so your cooker won't blow out.
