looking for a 3 season sleeping bag- I'm reasonably broad and find most mummy types restrictive eg vango nitestar - does anyone have any particular recommendations regarding the more forgiving mummy types, decent square ones or even any tighter ones to avoid?

These are good http://www.snugpak.com/20_outdoors/21_16_navigator.htm

They were recommended to me by someone on this site a while back.  They pack up small, are rectangular (I have to a left and right and they can zip together) I think that at Comfort 12°c to - 2°c Low -7°c they class as 3 season.

Myself and the OH are not skinnies (OH is 6'2" and pushing 18 stone) and we can move in them.

Hope this helps

The Vango Nitestar XL is very BIG also very warm.I'm 20 stone and I have plenty

room in it.The down side of it is it needs a three man tent to itself when unfolded and

has the pack size of a Volvo estate

Just googled that SF and it looks great.

I needed a small pack size because I am a motorbike camper but if duncfos is a car camper I just found it for £10 which has to be good
