I have a royal la rochelle 4 - currently up in the garden after a practise run. Do you not have instructions? I put it up by myself ( a touch difficult when it gets to putting the pins in the poles, but manageable.)

Lay out outer tent. make sure the rain flap is attached at the top!  Join together black poles and thread through the main living area  outside channels (edged with black - going under rainflap.

Then assemble grey pole and thread through channel where living area joins sleeping area. Do same with sleep area.

Now for the fun bit !! At the edges of the tent- following the line of the poles - are  black 'buckles' with a couple of metal rings and a pin, insert each pin into the two pole ends of the black poles on one side of tent, now go round otherside and do the same, this time though the poles will have to bend considerably and it take some elbow grease to get the pins in, in doing so the tent will 'pop' up. Once this is done, do the same with the grey poles - noting that the grey poles pass under the black poles. clip the tent to poles. Now do same with blue pole at end of sleeping section.

Guy rope the middle one at the end of sleeping compartment first (to keep it upright!) then work round with the others.
