We have a power point in the back of the Vito so electric cool box is no problem but how long do they keep cool for if not plugged in ?

The other type that stay cool for anthing from 5-10 days, are they any good / HOw do you cool them to start with and can you recool them if your on hol for more then the time they stay cool.
Any advice would be helpful.

If you are refering to a non-powered option, then go to my last entry on this thread you find a review that I wrote (typed?) on the IGLOO MaxCold 70 Roller: how I prepared it, how effective it was, etc.

It's actually even better that I suggested - twentyfour hours after I did the review there was STILL ice left in it.  That's nearly five full days (which is what it claims) of it being opened and used in real-life conditions and without re-freezing the gel packs or frosen water bottles that I used.  (Don't forget, many camp sites seem to offer re-freezing facilities for gel-packs.)

Icy Tec claim 10 days, and reviews that I have read suggest that they are exceptional, but they are also VERY expensive.  As I started out saying on the above-mentioned thread, I got mine for about £35.  That was a very good price but you'll still be able to get one for much less than an Icy Tec.

An alternative to IGLOO are the Coleman Extreme and Ultimate Extreme.  Go Outdoors (web or stores) have them quite competitively priced at the moment.  Yeomans have the Extreme also, but not the Ultimate Extreme.
