thanks, iv emailed eastcoast leisure to ask if they have them.

Ronnie, iv seen some on Ebay but they seem to be the bigger ones, im looking for one for a smalller low wattage heater and they are shorter.

You can buy a complete heater for under a tenner, why pay £5.50 for the bars?

A good example of our enforced 'throwaway' culture.

My halogen heater has no visible means of opening it so I expect that, when an element fails, I have to throw the whole lot away.

I have camping equipment handed down from my parents and in due course I expect that I will be able to hand it down to my kids. I doubt that any of my more recently purchased equipment will last that long.

Sorry to go off-topic - just wanted to say that before you try buying elements, make sure that you'll be able to fit them

dont suppose it matters really, was a spare heater came with our trailer tent. Just seems a shame to throw it away if i could have bought a bar cheaply. Oh well, maybe someone on freecyle will want it.
