What's the most effective lighting people have come across for camping? We have just got back from a weeks camping holiday, and our little battery operated lantern simply didn't cut muster in our 23 foot long Kyham tent.

A lot of people use car inspection lamps..

We have an electric thing which has a clip to attach it to the frame of the tent and then a bulb holder type thingy..

we have a remote control lantern for the bedroom

I use a 240 volt inspection lamp when we have ehu or I use a twin tube rechargeable work light when we don't. It can run off mains or can be recharged !! Woolworths are selling these worklights half price at 9.99 at the mo !!

how much are the remote control ones i saw on in the window of a camping shop but had the dog with me and couldnt go in?

We paid !5 on Ebay for ours...I think they are around £25 in camping shops

we use an inspection lamp plus two ikea clip-on spotlights with 60 watt bulbs in them.we have just found those led ring lights like you see on e-bay in our local poundland and they dont seem too bad[light the garage up anyway].

Forget all them!!!

You need to go to Morrisons and buy a couple of LED ufo lights... They are only £3 and they are super bright!! Why pay more?? They are fantastic!! The best lights I have purchased by far, and believe me, I have bought a few!
