Can anyone recommend a good camping pillow. We took ones from our home on our last camping trip......comfy but took up loads of room. We're looking for something a little more compact.
We all use the rectangular half-sized Vango camping pillows that fit into a small stuffsac. There`s also a half-moon pillow that fits into a sleeping bag hood.
I find the small pillow very comfortable, but then again I only use one pillow at home. I think if you normally use two huge pillows you might find camping pillows a bit small.
The ones from Decathlon appear very small and thin, but they have a pouch into which you can stuff a spare T-shirt or two that bulks it up nicely. Certainnly fine for my boys.
I like an overstuffed pillow at home, so I bought another one and cut it in half, sewed up the cut edge & then cut down a pillow case to fit it. Let's face it, most of us don't use the full width of a pillow anyway. My overstuffed half pillow is just as comfy as my pillow at home.
I bought some half size pillows that stuff into a sac from Millets in a 20% discount w/end, cost about £4, I find them very comfy but HIMSELF didn't like them, mind he is a bit fussy and doesn't like his pillows on his bed, so I generally discount his opinion on some matters.
------------- people said smile things could get worse,
so I did smile and things did get worse.
