We decided to pay more for our airbeds this year because the last few cheaper brands we had need pumping up every 2-3 days.

Coleman advertise the Comfort airbeds as 'Guaranteed NOT to leak' so we decided to buy 2 and banish the need to pump them up during a weeks holiday.

Unfortunately 'BOTH' the beds leak and need pumping up every 2-3 days...we spent the money for nothing!! We have found them no better than our much cheaper brand.

I am ensuring that the valves are firmly secured in their positions, in fact they were difficult to remove at the end of the week.

Does anyone else find that in fact they DO leak, or have we just hit bad luck with our 2 beds ?

I am writing to Coleman to see if they have received other complaints.

Looking forward to receiving your comments....

BILL

Our one leaks in the smaller compartment... as hubby prefers a soft bed he has that side and I get the side that stays up... I did offer to try and find the leak but he wasn't bothered and said he would just pump it up every few days whereas it would drive me mad, as it is I notice that there is a valley to fall into after a day or two.

We haven't tried contacting Coleman, I will be interested to hear your response.

we've just started having problems with our coleman comfort bed too. We've repaired it 3 times now and it's still leaking. We think we'll end up buying campbeds now.

we had problems with our camping gaz one leaking ,fixing one very small hole another appeared before my eyes.
i instantly complained to camping gaz and they told me to return it to where we bought it from ,i refused to pay a third of its cost sending it back so kept badgering them ,in the end they relented and told me to cut the panel on the side out with the name and send it to them ,a few days later a new one appeared.
looking at the base where the bottom of the bed has the internal uprights welded to it the plastic is very thin ,hopefully if enough get returned a rethink will get a thicker bottom.

ps its the valves that are guaranteed not to leak not the rest

Are you pressing the valves in before capping them ?

There has been a batch of fauty valves in colemans but its quite rare!

Never had problems with our ,except for a punture that was our own fault!

I have back problems and the only time I wake up pain free is when camping on my coleman!

Ours went down after the kids punctured it but apart from that never had a problem.

Hi All

I have emailed colemans, no reply yet.

Skatty : yes I have ensured the valve is pressed firmly home. They still leak.

Fiddiwebb : The only information I have is that they are GUARANTEED not to leak..

I will post the reply when / if I receive one.
