I know it's not the usual place to buy a pump but the early learning centre has rechargable pumps (presumably for paddling pools) with various adapters for a fiver at the mo.

Thanks for that.  I had a look on their website, and they're £9 (down from £20) on there, so I'll have a dekko in the shop tomorrow.

I bought two airbeds from Morrisons, which have inbuilt hand pumps.  Doesn't actually take that long to inflate them, but all that pumping up and down with the flat of your hand is boring!   And goodness knows what the people outside the tent thought I was doing.

We had a rechargeable pump but the trouble was forgot that it had to be re-charged before it could be used, hence huffing and puffing on three singles and one double after 10 at night!!!  Now have an ordinary plug into car type!

Bought one of these, and used it tonight to blow up an airbed for youngest daughter, who has one of her friends here for a sleepover tonight.

It came already charged up, and inflated a double airbed in less than a minute.  I'm impressed.

Though as Socks says, I'll have to remember to make sure it's charged before we take it camping.

We got an Aerobed Active which comes with a rechargeable pump - you have to inflate it for 24 hours beforehand - someone has posted a link for a discount to members of this forum -
