Hi there, some good suggestions there, i like the one in the US sylvia5 that could be what I'm looking for as it folds up pretty small. That bait bucket one might be an idea also, i'll have to have a look into that...

I have actually ordered the toilet I was after from this website:-

http://www.outdoorsman.co.uk/index1.html

but it has been a few weeks now and it still hasn't arrived so i'm guessing i'm going to get a call in the next week or so saying they cant get one....

The other 2 sites I have found it on are below but they say out of stock:-

http://www.adventure1.co.uk/index.html?target=p_773.html&lang=en-us

http://www.1st-harrison.com/shop/view_product.php?product=FUR04

I also found out it's supplied by Highlander:-

http://www.highlander1.com/Furniture/Outdoor_Furniture/fur04-field%20toilet.htm

But they don't sell direct to the public sooooo I guess I'll have to just keep waiting for it to come in stock or get that one from the US or the baitbucket....

Hmmmm :-/

Seriously mate ... save your money ... this is one seriously comfy toilet  (dont forget a bag though) ... everything is stored (amongst other stuff) in the bucket when not in use ... When the lid is on it doubles up as a guest seat or table for the radio & cuppa !!! ... Its a multi tasking bit of kit, lightweight & cheap

I'm off camping/fishing tomorrow for a week. In order to fit all the fishing gear into the car, I've had to 'cut down' on some of the camping gear. The first 'casualty' was the "Porta Potti" (it takes up too much space), so it looks like the 'bait bucket' may well have a dual purpose. Though I reckon I can do without the 'pipe lagging' for overnight use!...

Hi, Just looked at the original link and looks like it might be back in stock. Looks like a good idea, not sure the kids would settle very well on it though...I fear there could be accidents whilst perched upon the wobbly looking lavvy. E

my local camping shop sell fire buckets with lids for £4.99, they stand a little higher than a normal bucket i think.

Hi "the sixkings"

That's what we use! Like it as it's so small and folds up flat. The bags used have an absorbent pad in them and you knot them up and they can be placed in a bin with other rubbish, so don't have to be emptied straight away. The potty is folded up flat and then put away during the daytime so no-one coming into your tent susses it out! Just for no. 1's at night. Very good for females anyway..kind of kneel, knees on the floor, to use it..rather than squat..ok I'll stop the details!
I think buckets etc are ok but don't like the idea they're used for other things really!
Keep thinking I'll buy some other contraption, but has served us so well, that always end up taking it each time!

Mis-read this to begin with - sorry.

I was only joking about the potty, tried toilet training my daughter with one years ago she hated it.

i've seen everything now!

at least i haven't actually seen it because i didn't dare click on the video of how to use the folding loo

the luggable loo is lovely...  and yes some of us do need a seat in the night andy

the title of this thread caught my eye because, i confess, i had visions of what might happen with a collapsible loo and it was scary
