Just returned from a week in Dorset where we had to endure some awful weather.Floods and gales for the first 4 days.
where were you ??
we should have been back at eweleaze farm mid august but didn't go because of the severe weather warnings. We were there for 11 nights at the beginning of the month.which was very windy but nothing like (i imagine) the gales that came later. We had some very windy weather, also in dorset, mid july.
our khyam classic xl has sustained a slight rip by one of the pole sleeves but i think that was where the wind caught it when it was half erect. A rear bedroom pole has bowed a bit. We chose to be on the top of a hill looking out over the rolling hills and the sea so i have no complaints about the stability of the tent or the annexe. We left the screen canopy up during some pretty firece wind and that survived too.
i am not surprised the children were scared. In the middle of the night i was pleased that i hadn't got the grandchildren with me. I hope they had some good days to make up for it.
