My children suddenly discovered they liked tea (something to do with my aunt adding lots of sugar to the cup!!! ). So this summer they just had to make do with it in Ikea beakers. What I'm after for next summer is some cups with handles that are stackable... I think I've seen ones with a sort of inverted 'L' shaped handle. Can anyone point me in the direction of some on-line? Thank you.

Well I do remember summer holidays staying at my aunt's - my parents would arrive to pick us up and see them passing the sugar to me and say 'No she doesn't take sugar', and they would laugh and say 'well she has whilst she stayed here' I haven't ever taken sugar in tea other than those holidays as a child.

If it would get them to drink tea occasionally then I would be prepared to accept the sugar for now and then wean them off later - just to be able to give them a warm drink when camping that isn't hot chocolate (which either has sugar or sugar substitutes in anyway), at least I can control how much sugar goes in!!! And they didn't have a drink every day.

I remember the sort of cup I'm looking for from my childhood - I think ours were a grovey 70's orange if I remember correctly.

we just bought some stackable mugs they aren't plastic and they come in a holder but they were from the Pottery Cellar in Morecambe ! Sorry

However the box did say "stackable mugs" by Rayware so perhaps a google search will bring something up!

Dunno if you're after china or the safer with kids, melamine but.....IF it's china you're after ya won't go far wrong with summat like this......

TROFÉ mug

It's from good ole IKEA and only costs........19p!!!!!

They do a white one too, (different name but can't be doing with spelling all those different Swedish names they have coz I'm not s'posed to be on the lappy at the mo), but the white one is a liccle bit dearer at....49p each

BUT.....if ya could get away with china ones without handles then they have

ÄLMHULT mug

these also at only 19p each!

Some time ago, I bought some quite small stackable china mugs from IKEA which I decorated, (I like to do glass and china painting), to match one of my nephew's kitchens as his wife has hand problems and can't hold large cups. They were also ultra cheap at the time and they're still going strong.

I have seen plenty of Melamine ones about too and even the enamel ones are stackable but a bit on the hot to handle side for kiddies.

We also got a set of four melamine stackable mugs, (in a very pretty pattern too), last year in the pound shop when our usual iccle cups we use in the car for our coffee broke, (only plastic and bought in France years ago). So, if ya don't need handles, they'd be a bargin for ya!

Definately not after china ones ... either the kids or me  will break them, something like melamine or plastic.... I've been looking in the camping shops but no joy there. Looking for something small and light (every mm and ounce counts in trying to cram as much as possible into the car).

Thanks for looking though - I hadn't thought of Ebay - not that they seem to have what I want either.

We only seem to find decent plastic stacking mugs in French and Belgium supermarkets. They are always really cheap in Carrefour!

Knew I'd seen some somewhere! Now while these are insulated plastic travel mugs, the lid isn't essential of course and as ya can see from the shape, they'll stack!

Insulated Plastic Travel Mug

They're from:

http://www.gelert.com/.%2fproducts%2fInsulated_Plastic_Travel_Mug.aspx

and are £1.99 each. Bit pricier natch, but let's face it, they'll certainly last! The lids would also be handy if needed for drinking in the car too of course.

I shall still keep looking for others though. Told ya....dog with a bone

Woah....hang on...before I go....

Just spotted these too. The smaller size is £1.49 and the larger £1.99 each but defo look as if the bottom bit is narrower so should also stack.

100

Whey hey!!! I'm on a roll....look.....

Polycarbonate Cups

£1.46 each and look as if they should all stack with those sloping bottoms? Made of polycarbonate so pretty indistructable for the kiddies.

http://www.sailgb.com/c/polycarbonate_cutlery_dinnerware/?page=2

And blow me down.....only found these on bloomin' ebay!

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5232-2978-1/1?AID=9479574&PID=1428744&mpre=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FULL-SET-of-4-VW-CAMPER-VAN-CAMPING-CUPS-MELAMINE-MUGS_W0QQitemZ190146582839QQcmdZViewItem

Now they defo look as if they're stackable right? And melamine with pretty iccle VW campervan pattern

Reckon that'll do me for tonightHope they've been helpful.

Hiya, I've got some blue ones that look quite like the cups you get on a flask. I Can't remember for life of me where they're from.

Anyway what i'm saying is ...... you can have them if you want, i'll check how many i've got cos they're in caravan but there may be four of them all stacked together.

I don't drink tea / coffee & i think i've only used one last week to make my Mum a brew when she came to visit (shes going to bring her on china cup next time ) so they like new. Just let me know if there any good to you.
