have a look at my profile for a side view of a diablo 900xp with large sun canopy.
yes the tent is big but the extension really, especially in my wife's opinion and that matters !!! makes it a near perfect outfit.
we had it fitted to the colorado 800dlx but it kept "popping" off the front pole, where it meets the main tent, in wind.
to prevent this we carefully cut the elastic without damaging the material, and then placed it on the tent but pulled it over a bit further. it now overlaps by about 8". no problems since.
if you are thinking about one, they are now half the price we paid at the start of the season.

it simply fits over the roof of the tent.
the idea is it is held in place by an elastic edge and guide ropes.
look at my profile picture and you will see it attached to mine.
they are easy modify.

Thanks for that, so judging by your pic it just sits over the first pole, held down by the guy ropes. As you say, a bit of modification may be in order but would be well worth it I think.
