If its a dc motor (runs off your leisure battery) with a commutator it will have brushes, so try checking they haven't worn down. If they have they will need changing for new ones.
If its an ac motor (runs off the mains) it will be an induction motor that has no brushes, and could be a winding breaking down, or a loose connection.
In either case I would recommend getting it checked out by an electrician.
