Apologies if this has been discussed before but i am considering buying a breathable groundsheet.  They appear to be a warmer option under foot than the waterproof one we have and also it seems to becoming quite common that the waterproof ones are not allowed on certain sites.

Can you help advising what make is viewed as the best for quality/price etc.. as there are a few on the market such as Softtex, Eco Mat, Carpetina.

Any help is really appreciated.

it is really good and very cheap compared to some places, its called easy tread carpet kampa.

We have softex and are pleased with it, bought seconds too from brean leisure, just tiny little imperfections, but at the end of the day it only goes on the ground, it's also lovely and warm when we step out the van with no shoes on 

Isabella Bolon is good, and wears better than the spongey, holey type. Seconds are available at Yorkshire Caravans, in 2.5m; 3m and 3.5m widths, costing £10 per metre for the longest side. I'm guessing it must also be available at other outlets, too.

Just watch out for the breathable groundsheet that lets worms though...i don't know which pattern it is but....i think it must be one with largish squares in the pattern.......i'm sure someone will be along soon and tell you which one not to buy...

We have the softex groundsheet and have found it fine for us. We just hose the groundsheet down if needed when we get home.

Bought it from this website they do various types and I have to say had excellent service and very quick delivery.

Hi,  I have just bought my first caravan, it came with everything exept the breathable groundsheet, I have been searching Ebay for a really good one (that wont let the mud and worms through) for what seems like weeks.

I need it to be about 22 feet by 8.5 feet and found this one check out the item number 120164347183 on Ebay, which is made by Kampa, and seems to me to be more of a carpet than the others I have seen.  Also looks to be warmer underfoot.  Cheaper too, so I reckon this is the one I will be paying my hard earned cash for.  Even more so now I heave read the reviews about the Softex breathable groundsheets.
