As mentioned in another thread i'm replacing my guylines with these;

what i want to know is, what is the best knot to tie the guyline to the flysheet?

On my recent efforts to change my guylines for dayglo guys, I took apart the existing knots on my Gelert LV6 and retied them as they were.  Thank goodness there are so many guys to rediscover how they were tied!

Any way the long and short of it is that on my gelert they use what I now know to be a Fishermans 'Nail Knot'.  The nail knot is apparently used to join two lines of different diameter together, in the case of using it on a Guyline loop it through the Guypoint and holding the end about the guy you have your starting point.

I hope this helps I am sure their are numerous knots out there that can be used with not one of them being right or wrong.  This is just what Gelert use.

P.S. I used my finger to form these knots, so can confirm they are very tight
