My 8 year old son is going camping with his cub pack in 2 weeks time. Could anyone recommend a really good sleeping bag to keep him warm for this time of the year? We're summer campers and I don't think our regular bags will be warm enough! Thanks

Try this one. Its 400 GSM so should be warm, and its half price at the moment.

Hi Kev

Welcome to UKCS

There are many types of bags on the market, my best tip is to pack a wooly hat some bed socks warm slack jumper and terry jogging pants to wear.

Keep an eye on Lidl's and Aldi's they do fleece liners and for a few £ worth having in bottom of ruck sac

If you think your son is to continue in scouting I would invest a few quid in a decent bag.

I take scouts out and have a Nonock sleeping bag, it's a general purpose one and has lkept me warm in -15.

Unfortunately you get what you pay for.

You usually cannot go far wrong with named brands look for a comfort rating as close to or under zero deg c as you can.

What area are you from?  someone may suggest a local stockist nearby

This company does mail order

Cheers

Brian
