We have the carri chef deluxe with all the bits and are really pleased with it. On our weeks holiday we used little else apart from the kettle. Rather than leave it in the camper John bought a new gas cylinder so we could use it at home as well.

Is it worth paying the extra on top of the deluxe for the super deluxe with the paella pan, anyone got it?
I think it would be,as the paella pan would probably work out alot more than £20.00 on it`s own.
we're looking at the carrichef super deluxe combo - looks like a good xmas pressy - not sure if the paella pan fits in the normal bag or if it will have be packed seperately.
We bought the Carri Chef Deluxe a couple of weeks ago for £95 from Towsure (with free delivery at the time) and it's fab (although we've only used it once so far).
I don't think we saw the Deluxe but OH would quite like the Paella pan, I don't think though that there is much difference between what you can cook in the Skottle top and the Paella pan so I don't think I could justify taking both on a trip. At twenty quid extra I'd probably go for it but not then expect to take it with me every time.
We got the skottle with ours and can't see we would use the paella pan as well.
It's quite a lot deeper isn't it? I'm thinking about spag bol and chilli and stuff. And it's only £119.95 at Riversway including a cover too. Hmmm. There are 5 of us and we often cook for more than that as we do re-enactment so camp most weekends with a whole bunch of other people, so I'm thinking that I might be better with the paella pan.

Thanks for the replies folks :-)
A friend of ours has a Cadac (which got us hooked), we group camp and his has always been fine with the skottle top. He makes chilli in it and it is deep enough for chilli, spag bol for a group of 8 or more with no problems.
That's a good price, I'd probably go for it but I don't think I would take both the Skottle and the Paella pan with me on a trip.
We have the Carri Chef deluxe and would recommend it over the easi chef due to the extra shelf underneath!
Also got the paella pan, which is great for Paella (of course!) but also superb for curries for a few people (because it's non stick it's alot easier to clean than the skottel!).
When we have our two week holiday we do all the breakfasts and most of the evening meals on it. Fantastic as it's great to be outside instead of stuck in the van kitchen!
